nirvana

Nirvana began with a dream.

I dreamed that I was painting this image as a mural — a small figure meditating inside a dark, almost abandoned space, surrounded by colour, light and fragments of the outside world.

When I woke up, the image stayed with me. I felt the need to bring it into reality, and this painting became the result.

The contrast between the dark, almost urban environment and the peaceful figure at its centre became an important part of the work. To me, it speaks about finding an inner space of calm even when everything around us feels chaotic.

The figure doesn't escape the darkness. Instead, it creates its own light within it.

Sometimes peace isn't about changing the world around us, but about finding a quiet place within ourselves.
