Mandala

Mandala explores the relationship between the human figure, inner energy and the search for balance.

A woman sits in meditation at the centre of the composition, surrounded by a luminous mandala that seems to radiate from within her. The raised golden elements catch the light and give the work a physical dimension, turning the mandala into something almost tangible — a symbol of energy, movement and connection.

I was interested in the contrast between the stillness of the figure and the sense of expansion created by the mandala: the body remains quiet while something within it seems to be constantly moving.

A moment of stillness, holding an entire universe within.
